Commonly known as nandina, heavenly bamboo, or sacred bamboo, it is a flowering plant species in the Berberidaceae family, native to East Asia from the Himalayas to Japan. Nandina is derived from the Japanese name, nanten. This fountain pen comes with a retractable 18k gold nib. This helps prevent the tip from drying when not in use.
