An elongated octagon
Octogône is a jewelry-watch collection designed exclusively for women, with cases cut like eight-sided diamonds. In the Chevrons, the octagon is elongated into a rectangle, and a faceted sapphire crystal covers the dial.
Mother-of-pearl and chevrons
The white mother-of-pearl dial has bluish reflections that vary from one dial to the next. The steel bracelet is made of chevron links, and water resistance of 50 meters makes the watch suitable for swimming.

The details
The Swiss Ronda 751 quartz movement powers the hours and minutes. The stainless steel 316L case measures 20.4 mm across, 26.4 mm long, and 6.4 mm thick, with a pressed-in back. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The steel bracelet of chevron links, 12 mm at the lugs, fastens with a folding clasp. Herbelin assembles the watch by hand in France.

Why is the collection called Octogône?
For its cases, cut like a diamond with 8 sides. Its chevron bracelet draws on Herbelin watchmaking of the 1950s, and each dial is inspected under a loupe. Herbelin has made watches since 1947. The family business is now in its 3rd generation, led since 2020 by the founder’s grandsons, Maxime and Mathieu Herbelin.
Where is it made?
The watch is assembled by hand in Herbelin’s workshops in Charquemont, in the French Jura near the Swiss border, and passes 65 quality checks. Its movement is Swiss. Herbelin retains spare parts to restore its models, including older ones.
Can I swim with it?
Its 5 atm rating is suitable for swimming. Diving and high-impact water sports require a higher rating. Rinse the watch in fresh water after wearing it in the sea or a pool.
Will my dial look exactly like the photograph?
It will look similar, with its own character. Mother-of-pearl is cut from a shell’s inner layer, so the sheen and play of color vary from 1 dial to the next.
How durable is the crystal?
Sapphire rates 9 on the Mohs scale and is among the most scratch-resistant materials used in watchmaking. Few things encountered in everyday wear will mark it, though a hard impact can still crack it.
