Ornate and beautifully finished, this well made fountain pen was a little larger than I expected, but I've quickly got used to it.
The pen arrives with Aurora's blue black ink, which has now become a firm favourite of mine.
The jade material is unlike anything I have in my collection; it has a sprinkling of golden glitter, and flecks of black and white. It is not a marbled material but it is beautiful and light enough for the user to forget the girth of the pen.
I ordered a special 18ct Oblique Medium point back in November and it arrived in early March. It was worth the wait.
Although it wrote perfectly out of the box, I found it a tad dry for my tastes (I flossed tines with thin smooth plastic sheet to improve things). The Aurora nibmeisters definitely know what they're doing.
The Ebonite feed provides consistent ink flow regardless of your nib-wetness preferences and I'd happily recommend Aurora to anyone looking for a luxury fountain pen that works superbly straight out of the box.
