    Additional information:
    • Three stones in strong, vivid hues colour the new models in the PIUMA collection, inspired by agate, amethyst and carnelian and their symbolism. Amethyst is a variety of quartz, characterised by the presence of violet tones. It is often formed in the presence of subalkaline basaltic rocks. Our Amethyst PLUMA, also with golden finish, is inspired by one of the most precious and long-lived stones, symbol of the elixir of life.

Iguana had the pen in stock and it arrived two days after ordering. If your choice is not in stock, always check the likely delivery date to avoid disappointment. For me, the experience was hassle-free and I would certainly buy from Iguana again. As for the pen....

I had an issue with the nib 'skipping' due to the tines converging quite severely towards the tip. I gently eased these apart, and everything was fine - EXTREMELY fine, in fact, because this pen delivers the finest nib width I have ever encountered; and yet, it remains such a smooth writer. Astonishing!

Also, the two flattened sections cut into the curved surface of the pen (which run its length, front and rear) are slightly misaligned when the cap is fully screwed down. Probably batch variation, with some examples being perfect and others a little less so.

And then there's the clip: serviceable but plain. The clip represents an opportunity to promote brand recognition (see Parker), so Scribo might have made a bit more of an effort.

All in all, a thumbs up and you should buy with confidence.
