The Raymond Weil watch brand was created in 1976, in the midst of the crisis within the watch industry, when Mr. Raymond Weil decided to found his own company and turn his vision of what Swiss watchmaking should be, into real timepieces that would bring a new dimension to the industry. Mr Weil's creations were immediately praised by watch enthusiasts, hobbyists and connoisseurs alike. The brand was first established in Switzerland, where it was gaining recognition thanks to the enthusiasm and experience of its creator, to later expand internationally, first in Europe and then throughout the world.
