Its Urushi spraying and lacquering processes are carried out under the methods perfected by Master Toshiie Maeda in the Kaga domain at the end of the 16th century. The Kaga domain was an area ruled by samurai clans that experienced not only military success, but also the economic and cultural growth that propelled this small region to be one of the richest and most productive territories in all of Japan. The TACCIA Kaga-Wajima Collection limited to 50 units per piece emerges from this period of Japanese heritage.
