Friday Outfit: Germany

Hello everyone,

We say goodbye to march in a Friday Outfit that takes us to the land of bretzels after having visited Italy, Japan, France and Switzerland: Germany.

Germany stands out regarding sciences and technology as one of the countries that invests the most in innovation. This also influences watches and writing industry.

Also known as "the land of poets and thinkers", the fountain pens of Herman Hesse, Schopenhauer or Nietzsche were born here, as well as the ink of Bach's pieces and Durero's drawings, masters in the art of a language that is more universal than words.

The Teutonic country is also the cradle of industrial and graphic design. Bauhaus was created as an Arts school that sought the convergence of funtion and aesthetics and defined a new way of understanding design. This would influence all daily life aspects, such as watches and writing. As an example, the Junghans quartz and automatic watches collection designed by Max Bill, who studied in The Bauhaus when it was in Dessau.
